Become to File > Options > Salve, you lot can check "Salvage to Computer by default" and set "Default local file location" to the desired location.

I would recommend that you save your documents to the Documents folder, NOT the desktop.

yous are quite right, Lamentable I did mean the documents folder on my device (desktop).

Any hints on how not to save to the deject past default?

I just establish it, thanks.

It only gave me the options tab in the file pull down menu when I was saving an actual document.

I was trying to trying to make the modify without saving anything foolishly plenty.

Information technology is not necessary to exist saving a certificate, or even to have a document open, to exist able to access File>Options>Save.

This does non piece of work. In Word, I follow your instructions - I select Options/Save and set computer every bit default. I then click on "Default local file location" box and scan to This PC\ Documents folder. Once I hit Enter and render to the Save Bill of fare, the box for default Local file rewrites to \onedrive\documents. Every time! If I attempt to edit out onedrive from the location directly, it says directory not valid. Assist!
